Is a show created in co-production between Joana Peres (Portugal) and Les Ballets de Matam (Guinea).

The creation process started in November 2012, based on Joana Peres artistic residency in Conacry.

This was the first step in a strong relationship between artists, musiciens and dancers.

A performance piece developed in an ambiance of harmony, curiosity, sharing and gratitude, envolving a huge crowd between local artists and directors of different national Ballets (companies).

Bringing together traditional West African chants, rythms, movements, embraced by contemporary influences, and cultural distances and values.

"MUAMA BIRIN AFA" means want to bring peolpe together.

This project was supportted by Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation, in Performing Arts- Dance Creation category.

Parteners and supporters: Allatantou Associação Cultural  and G&S.
